23 weeks

Ok, so we found out the baby's gender at 19 weeks 2 days :-) and guess what we are having a...

Boy!!!!!

Well here is a pic of his boy parts! Ok, I' know I'm awful for sharing, but so excited! Well, the Ultra sound tech was SURE! here it is! Your looking at a bum shot with his legs spread out (one vertical and the other laying horizontal) The colored stuff is the umbilical cord and should go all the way down to the tummy... and well there is something in the way!

DH has been teasing me that he wants to name the baby
Red... but that truly isn't my favorite name ever! But, he did come through and pick a name that I totally love!

So, our lil' Nibbler has a name!

We're telling fam and other than that keeping things on the down low. But either way we are so very excited!

A couple of days before we found out the baby's sex, my sister AM sent us a package, that arrived the day after we found out. lol, the box was filled with BOY stuff! Loved all the stuff and had to call her and ask her if she was hoping for a boy? KT was the same way. I guess my sisters knew something we didn't. They got it right though. Everyone is so very happy! We've been wanting a boy. On my side we haven't had a boy in a while. Mom's side is all girls except for DW and on my real Dad's side he had all girls! And on DH all his brothers have girls! So, a boy was happy news!

Well, on other fronts I've been fe
eling great! I've been released to start working out and continuing my normal routine. We did
find out that the bacterial infection that I had that was causing so much trouble in the beginning is back. :-( We've been told it is a natural occurring infection that one of us could have all the time. So, at the moment we are both on the antibiotics and if this doesn't make it go away there isn't really anything we can do. There is a low percentage that it can be passes onto Nibbler, so I'm guessing that they will just keep an eye on him once he is born.

We are also now 6 weeks into our Bradley class! I'm loving the class and learning tons of stuff. I just need to get on the ball with all the exercise route. :-( I really don't like working out at all, lol.

Well here are a couple more of the ultrasound pics... they will probably be the last ones we see till we see our lil man in the flesh. They will do more
but only if necessary or in an emergency. So, we are happy with what we have so far :-) Posted below are details of his hands, feet and also even a detail of his finger and skeletal system in 3D!

19 weeks

Well, just a little update before we go in in a couple of days to find out the baby's gender...

It's official! I felt Nibbler kick! It was the day before we hit 17 weeks! We got a Fetal Doppler and it took us about 20 minutes to find Nibbler's heart beat so I finally figured out where the baby was actually located. Then I knew for sure that little one was kicking up a storm! Awesome thing about it all was the next morning I woke up to Nibbler kicking around :-) I woke DH up and put his hand on my belly and he felt Nibbler! I was all excited, he just asked... "Are you sure you don't just have gas?" Men! Now funny thing is he has only felt the baby one other time... every time we try Nibbler quits moving, lol. DH's Mom got to fell Nibbler last week! She is the only other one to have felt baby move!

We just got back from visiting DH's family. We had an amazing time! Both DH's Mom & Dad got to go to Babies R Us with us and help pick out things for the baby registry! I was supper excited to have his family get to be a part of baby stuff. It's hard not having our parents close by. I wish we could all be closer together. But, I am determined to hopefully have everyone involved some way or another. We did come back with a car full of stuff though... we now have a stroller, a car seat, and a pack n play sitting in our living room in boxes with a couple other odds and ends :-D
Also, Mom helped me make belly bands! I even have gotten to try a couple out! We took some inexpensive cami's and tees and cut the top portion of the tops off and hemmed them up. They work exceptionally well! That and I also saved anywhere from $5 to $25 per belly band! What can I say I'm all about saving money!

Things are finally setting in. That and Nibbler is wiggling up a storm!
