We're at it again!

So, on Wed Nov 23 we found out we're expecting again.  Of course things aren't going any easier this time around either.  I took a home pregnancy test around 10:30 am a cheap $.99 and it was positive I was so surprised!  Wasn't expecting that one, lol...Anyways, I was able to get my blood work done before the close of the business day.  I've been spotting for 4 days when I tested, so I'm on edge.  HCG levels were low but came in @ 50.

On Sun Nov 27, we went to the ER... I'm still spotting. In the morning there was a touch of red.  ER Dr did a pelvic exam and my cervix is closed, and there is just a scant amount of blood and no clots.  My HCG levels came back at 71 it's supposed to double every 48-72 hrs so that wasn't good but it's not bad either because the levels are going up. And the external ultra sound can back inconclusive they couldn't see anything. So, nothing really definitive. I'm on pelvic rest and need to get into the OB's office by Tues of next week.

Wish us luck that all goes well and we end up with a healthy baby :-)

33 Weeks

Yesterday was our baby appointment and all is going well! I can't believe how big I'm getting... it looks like I've swallowed a soccer ball. I'm all belly! I've gained about 10 lbs so far from my original weight... that's not including how much I lost the first couple of months and gained that all back :-) My glucose test came back negative, but my iron was really low, I had a really bad UTI and I was dehydrated. So, they put me on some antibiotics, iron pills, vitamin C, and something for contractions. OH and I have to drink a gallon of water a day! I'm having crazy bad heart burn not sure if it is because of the iron pills or just because.

I keep telling everyone he will be here Sept 10, but everyone laughs at me... who knows... Nibbler will be the 10th great grand child on both dh and my side of the fam! so the 10th sounds great! (well, on my side there is a little bit of competition, my cousins wife is due the day after me)

Our trip to TX was just amazing! We had two really good baby showers. I think I enjoyed getting to see everyone the most! Wish I'd had more one on one time with everyone though. DH seemed to enjoy himself too. It was the first time since we married that he got to go home with me. Well, other than the showers... we went to the Ft Worth Zoo, and camped at reunion all week! Dh got to do some fun stuff while I was doing the baby shower thing. He and all the boys went to soccer practice with DW. and then him and some of the big boys went to the casino for the other baby shower. I think he had a good time away from all the baby stuff :-)

2 worth while memories:

1. Me: I can't wait till next year Nibbler would love this! He'll get to play in the dirt and everything!
DH: no dirt.
Me: huh? how can you not let him play in the dirt? I did it, well everyone here has and there isn't anything wrong with me is there?
DH: you get to clean him then
Me: that's what a water hose is for lol

2. My mom's friend was there and this is a conversation I had with him JD is 4 yrs old
JD: you have a baby in there (pointing at my tummy)
Me: yep I sure do
JD: I wanna see it
Me: um ok (so i lift my shirt over my tummy) he is right in there
JD: Crack it open I wanna see the baby
Me: (giggling) I can't do that he's not ready to come out yet
JD: oh :-(

Reunion was fun. I didn't get out much cause the heat was making my feet swell. But, hey I was there and had a great time! We also found out our next assignment too! Can't wait!

PA was really nice too! Dh's family is so very loving and generous. Wish we could have stayed longer, but a 2 week vacation from home was a little much for both DH and myself. :-) Dh had a good time. He got new tires and rims for his car. That made his day!

Here is a post from DH thought was amazingly sweet and had to share!

Lets see how many new things we can do at once! New baby, check, moving to Missouri, check, starting a new job in Missouri, check! A weaker man might get overwhelmed, but I am actually really looking forward to all the changes!! Can't wait for Wyatt to get here in 6 weeks!! I can't wait to hold Wyatt and look into his eyes!! I am sure it will be a moment that changes me forever!!

Well, all in all I feel great! Just trying to rest and be good. Only 6 more weeks plus a few days!

29 weeks!

Well, all has been going well. We had our appointment last week and everything looked good! The Dr was trying to listen to Nibbler's heart and she basically had to hold him down because he was moving so much. But, then again I'd drank the sweet stuff for the glucose test about an hour before the actual appointment. My results came back 2 days ago... the glucose test came back with no problems!!!! So happy about that! On the other hand my hemoglobin levels came back low. Now I'm taking extra supplement of Vitamin C and Iron. That could explain why I'm always tired. But, who knows...

Nibbler loves to be on the move. At night while we are relaxing watching TV, my belly just bounces, lol. I love being pregnant till he kicks me in the bladder :-) No I really enjoy being pregnant. It is amazing to know that my body is making a little tiny boy that I already love with all my heart. Such a wonderful feeling and so special.

I've had a small issue the last couple of days, started spotting a little. But, Dr said as long as I'm drinking lots of water, Nibbler is moving, and I'm not having contractions things should be OK. We go back to the Dr in a week... hope all is well, I personally think that the infection I had early on in the pregnancy is back. hopefully all is well and everything works out... I truly want to go home next week!

We are heading home! We are leaving on Fri and taking the muppies to the in-laws. Then we are heading to TX for a week and a half! Can't wait I have so much planned already! Family pictures, I'm shooting an engagement shoot, 2 baby showers, and camping at reunion! Then when we get back to PA DH's family is throwing us another baby shower! So, I'm getting ready for a flood of baby stuff! Can't wait for our little man to get here! ( when he is ready, I'll be waiting another 10 weeks or so!)

26 weeks

Our last check up was a couple of weeks ago and everything is looking great! Lil' Man is growing a healthy. We did get an ultrasound, for no reason that I'm aware of other than the wait was so long and I just happened to be in the room for my appointment. We didn't get any really great pics cause he was moving like a mad man. They both saw his boy parts and are positive we have it right! He is all about showing his man hood. lol. And he seems to have a bit of a sense of humor. He stuck out his tongue at us.

Other than that I still have been having cravings for cheese burgers and ice cream (chocolate banana milk shakes to be exact) funny thing is neither of these 2 foods are on the list of my favs. Been wanting cookies a lot ... so yummy! Chocolate chip! The ice cream has been a lifesaver though. I've had some really bad heart burn! Killer heart burn! And tums sometimes just doesn't cut it. The ice cream helps thought. The other day I had heart burn so bad that it made me choke when I took a drink of water... ended up throwing up a little bit on my self. Scared DH to death, but all was good in the end. (Missed the couch) My bell is getting big. And I love to feel my little alien moving. Which has been more often lately. He will have a sleepy day every once in a while though. DH was out of town last week for a couple of days and one night he was a dancing so I took some video clips on my phone and you can see my belly bouncing! Didn't think I would be able to see that till further along. :-) Plans are being made for baby showers. We go home in about a month. We will have 2 there one for fam and another for friends. Then Dh's fam will be throwing one for us too. I'm so excited about seeing everyone! Wish we were able to be closer during the pregnancy, but we are making the best of it :-)

We are also working towards me being able to start a business at home for me so that I can help out a bit and also stay home with Nibbler. Which is what we want more than anything. So here is to hoping that will work out...

23 weeks

Ok, so we found out the baby's gender at 19 weeks 2 days :-) and guess what we are having a...

Boy!!!!!

Well here is a pic of his boy parts! Ok, I' know I'm awful for sharing, but so excited! Well, the Ultra sound tech was SURE! here it is! Your looking at a bum shot with his legs spread out (one vertical and the other laying horizontal) The colored stuff is the umbilical cord and should go all the way down to the tummy... and well there is something in the way!

DH has been teasing me that he wants to name the baby
Red... but that truly isn't my favorite name ever! But, he did come through and pick a name that I totally love!

So, our lil' Nibbler has a name!

We're telling fam and other than that keeping things on the down low. But either way we are so very excited!

A couple of days before we found out the baby's sex, my sister AM sent us a package, that arrived the day after we found out. lol, the box was filled with BOY stuff! Loved all the stuff and had to call her and ask her if she was hoping for a boy? KT was the same way. I guess my sisters knew something we didn't. They got it right though. Everyone is so very happy! We've been wanting a boy. On my side we haven't had a boy in a while. Mom's side is all girls except for DW and on my real Dad's side he had all girls! And on DH all his brothers have girls! So, a boy was happy news!

Well, on other fronts I've been fe
eling great! I've been released to start working out and continuing my normal routine. We did
find out that the bacterial infection that I had that was causing so much trouble in the beginning is back. :-( We've been told it is a natural occurring infection that one of us could have all the time. So, at the moment we are both on the antibiotics and if this doesn't make it go away there isn't really anything we can do. There is a low percentage that it can be passes onto Nibbler, so I'm guessing that they will just keep an eye on him once he is born.

We are also now 6 weeks into our Bradley class! I'm loving the class and learning tons of stuff. I just need to get on the ball with all the exercise route. :-( I really don't like working out at all, lol.

Well here are a couple more of the ultrasound pics... they will probably be the last ones we see till we see our lil man in the flesh. They will do more
but only if necessary or in an emergency. So, we are happy with what we have so far :-) Posted below are details of his hands, feet and also even a detail of his finger and skeletal system in 3D!

19 weeks

Well, just a little update before we go in in a couple of days to find out the baby's gender...

It's official! I felt Nibbler kick! It was the day before we hit 17 weeks! We got a Fetal Doppler and it took us about 20 minutes to find Nibbler's heart beat so I finally figured out where the baby was actually located. Then I knew for sure that little one was kicking up a storm! Awesome thing about it all was the next morning I woke up to Nibbler kicking around :-) I woke DH up and put his hand on my belly and he felt Nibbler! I was all excited, he just asked... "Are you sure you don't just have gas?" Men! Now funny thing is he has only felt the baby one other time... every time we try Nibbler quits moving, lol. DH's Mom got to fell Nibbler last week! She is the only other one to have felt baby move!

We just got back from visiting DH's family. We had an amazing time! Both DH's Mom & Dad got to go to Babies R Us with us and help pick out things for the baby registry! I was supper excited to have his family get to be a part of baby stuff. It's hard not having our parents close by. I wish we could all be closer together. But, I am determined to hopefully have everyone involved some way or another. We did come back with a car full of stuff though... we now have a stroller, a car seat, and a pack n play sitting in our living room in boxes with a couple other odds and ends :-D
Also, Mom helped me make belly bands! I even have gotten to try a couple out! We took some inexpensive cami's and tees and cut the top portion of the tops off and hemmed them up. They work exceptionally well! That and I also saved anywhere from $5 to $25 per belly band! What can I say I'm all about saving money!

Things are finally setting in. That and Nibbler is wiggling up a storm!

Latest Update! Sorry it's long!

Wow! Yikes! I'm really far behind!

(I went a little backward in posting so the newest post is first! SO if you want to read it in dated order start at the bottom! )

April 13, 2010
(16 weeks 2 days)

So, today is the first day in several weeks that I actually feel well. I know I didn't mention it before, but I didn't want to sound like I was complaining all the time. I really don't know why I've been feeling bad it's not really one thing or the other I've just been blah or down and out. I've had a headache for the last going on 7 days. And I feel like my baby is going to be a drug addict when it gets here after taking all the meds. Antibiotics, Acidophilus, Vitamins, headache meds... And I am pretty sure the only reason I feel OK today is because I took the headache meds early in the day. But, I'm just taking things one day at a time.

We've kinda decided on a girls name or at least have it narrowed down. As for the boys name, well that is a different story. DH can never say he likes a name I suggest, always has a reason it can't work. lol... finally told him since I pretty much picked out the girls name and he agreed that he should pick out the boys name and I get to agree. That worked for about 2 seconds, lol. He came up with the bright idea that he wasn't going to decide till the baby got here. Hum... I wasn't all that crazy about that idea. :-) But, as luck would have it his family stepped in and somehow he told them that he would have a name by the time we found out if it was a boy or girl. lol.... I think I know what he is going to pick for the first name, but I guess we shall see.

Other than that I'm not really showing much. My pants are starting to ride low, and I can't keep them up... and my cami's are starting to ride up. I've purchased 2 maternity tanks and a pair of yoga pants, but don't really need the pants as of yet. My sweats seem to be doing the trick so far! Love the tanks though, they are really long! My belly is just starting to fill out a bit. I had a little bit of a pooch to begin with, and now the upper tummy is just starting to round out a bit. As for feeling the baby kick... I think I have a coupe of times, but nothing for sure. I did feel a foot a couple days ago. I was poking around a bit to see if I could feel a kick, instead I felt a little hard knot, and the all the sudden it went away. So, I'm pretty sure that was a foot or something :-) DH doesn't like me to poke around on my belly. oops.

In a couple of weeks we are heading down to DH's fam. Very excited about the visit. Doc has even approved the drive! Still hoping that we will be able to head to my fam in TX come July... some say it is wishful thinking but I am very hopeful!

Well, I've got stuff to do to day... Sorry for taking so long to update, hopefully updates will be more time appropriate in the future! Loves to All!

April 7, 2010
(15 weeks 2 days)

Well, Our appointment today day went well. I do have an infection of the cervix and they have put me on a stronger antibiotic. So, hopefully everything will clear up! I haven't had any problems since the last visit so things are looking up. I did have a migraine last week that really kicked my bum. The Doc gave me some meds to take that are stronger than just Tylenol. Really hoping that that helps! Other than that we did the blood work today to check for the spina bifida. We have our next appointment set for May 5th and hopefully we will be able to find out if our little Nibbler is a boy or a girl! No U/S today, Next time!

March 29, 2010
(14 weeks)
Well, we had some issues again this morning... and we ended up in another emergency visit to the doctors office. They got us in and tried to find the baby's heart beat with a doppler and all they could find was my heart beat... We got really scared when they rushed us into the U/S room. Tech put the probe on my tummy and immediately Nibbler started kicking and squirming! Such a relief! Little One is doing great! They put me on some antibiotics just to be on the safe side. And I already have an appointment for 2 weeks from now, so they will check everything again then. They did take some cultures and then tried the cauterize my cervix to stop the bleeding. I've been told to stay off my feet again for any extended length of time. Fun Stuff! But most importantly baby is doing good and the bleeding isn't from the uterus it's from the cervix itself.

Baby Nibbler gave the tech a little trouble again :-) But, to start off little ones back was to us so we got to see the spine and all the little ribs. Nibbler has turned over and was laying like I did/do. Curled up on it's tummy with its hand under it's face :-) And the baby's face was amazing!

March 16, 2010
(12 weeks 1 day)
My family arrived in MA from Tx yesterday! I got to go out and spend the some time with them. Mom and I went shopping at a mall looking for some stuff that they needed for the "cold weather" and some food supplies. Had a great time with mom, and the kids will start their snowboarding lessons tomorrow! Had to come back to day for a meeting at work and the last couple of days I've been spotting but it's been brown. Doc says as long as it isn't red or
pink all is well. But, today as I was getting ready to head home, I noticed the spotting started to turn pink/red. So on the drive home I called the Doc and they wanted to see me right way. Needless to say I got a bit scared. DH picked me up from the house and went straight into the office. It took a while to get me in but they did. Baby is doing well, they put me back on the progesterone. Hopefully this will help solve the issue!

March 9, 2010
(11 weeks 1 day)
Well, I have in my notes that we've had more Ultra Sounds than I can remember, So my notes
are probably a little off... But we did have and appointment an more pics take on the 9th :-)
They took a lot today! And even surprised us with a 3D image! We had already been discussing the fact that we would love to have it done, but couldn't find anywhere that was local. Then The U/S tech popped it up on the screen unexpectedly and amazing! We have a little allien! Lol Big surprise there we are already calling it Nibbler!

Also, on the amazing side Nibbler was kicking up a storm! The Tech also gave us a little 5 second clip of our baby kicking! It truly brought tears to my eyes. Little One also didn't want to sit still for us today. The Tech is beginning to have a love had relationship with Nibbler. Nibbler always seems to be on the move... sounds a little like my sister W...

Feb, 23, 2010
(9 weeks 1 day)

And our sit down with the Doc went well. We have decided to turn down some of the genetic testing. The one we have turned down was for the downs syndrome. We really don't see how that will effect our pregnancy if the baby does or doesn't have it. We will love and cherish the baby no matter what the outcome. We did on the other hand decide that the testing for spina bifida was something we were interested in. Technology has come a long way and I know that
if the test comes back positive there could be a chance of fixing the issue. So, we are a go for that one. Other than that all is well :-D

Feb 4, 2010
(6 weeks 4 days)

So, the pic is of Nibbler at what has ended up being 6 weeks 4 days.
They changed the due date again on the 4th. The new due date is Sept 27th and hasn't been updated/changed again!. Little one is doing really good!
